“Colours within” is an innovative Street Art & Graffiti exhibition curated by the “USE crew”, a group of street artists (Don40, Elz, Lune, Simek, Skerz, Tek, Tensa and Urid) in collaboration with calligrapher Greg Papagrigoriou. The project will be held at Stigma Exhibition Street Art Laboratory & Workshop, an industrial artistic self-expression experimental space which is the first major Street Art / cultural venue in the heart of Athens Greece, in the neighborhood of Exarcheia.
The exhibition is not confined only to graffiti; it also includes other expressive means and new modes of creation such as: illustration, painting, typography, calligraphy and photography. Motivated by the common love for graffiti and being influenced by the atmosphere of the big city life, these nine street artists will try to express themselves and experiment on different techniques (graffiti, aerosols, collages, stencils, constructions, photography and painting canvases).
Colours Within opens its doors on the 1st of June and the exhibition will last till June 30, 2011.
