From time to time we run into some very interesting projects which we pass on to you. Such is this student project which explores expressive layout design, using typography creatively. Damascus born designer Jihad Lahham designed this project as a student at Ringling college of Art and Design. For each category (such as type with image, type with collage image, strictly type, etc) there are 6 spreads, each one of them with a different exploration. The text used is taken from the book ‘Readies’, an essay written by Robert Carlton Brown and published in the international avant-garde journal Transition in 1930 about a reading machine.
